Probably why dogma is so very hard for me to swallow.

That drive, that intensity, that fully-focused approach to life is a mystery to some. Such a contrast with my own life! How lucky am I that despite a husband and five children, I have always been able to turn-off to any noise going on around me, including direct questioning, and concentrate on what is in front of me be it a book, TV or computer. Without this 'skill' I would go absolutely bananas!
Oh, I have been known to write into the small hours too, or stay up to finish that painting or turn the last page of a novel. On the whole though, I think I function best with lots going on around me. Takes all sorts eh? :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-352920971254096499.post-86341127202065954492011-07-04T06:46:13.139-07:002011-07-04T06:46:13.139-07:00Katie--Menopause + summer break from teaching + wr...Katie--Menopause + summer break from teaching + writing deadlines = severely screwed-up sleepSioux Roslawskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17924021828536277618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-352920971254096499.post-50187985859256139072011-07-04T06:20:02.878-07:002011-07-04T06:20:02.878-07:00Boy, does this hit home. My average sleep time is 4-6 hours a night, though I daily promise myself I'll get a full 8 (yeah, right). It isn't insomnia, it is just that when I get started with my writing I don't want to stop.

Loving your book, by the way! I'm about 3/4 through, and so far the Kindle format is perfect. Of course, my type-A friend, I didn't expect anything less. :)Lisa Ricard Clarohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05048410207952052295noreply@blogger.com
